Moving to Denmark

The move came suddenly.
Denmark was never ever on my mind after having received my Loss of
Licens, as a place I would consider settling. And it came about
purely by happenstance. My cousin in Norway is a breeder of the
dog Tibetan Spaniel. As such she is asked from time to time to
assist someone in need of rehousing a dog. One afternoon, whilst
enjoying a good cup of coffe in her livingroom, the phone rang.
Some in a nearby village was in need of finding a new home for
their dog, since someone in the family had become terminally
ill. My cousin made a few phone call and as the dog was of good
stock, a new family was found in central Denmark, through a
breeder of the same breed down there. .
As I was between engagements at the time, I offered to bring the
dog by car down to its new owner, in fact my cousin and I
decided to do it together and make it into a small and impromtu
holiday. Ferrytickets was bought and the next day in the
afternoon we set off for Larvik where the ferries starts across
the water to Denmark.
Easy trip on the
ferry, even though we had to stay in our cabin beacuse of the
dog.
